Red sandalwood – it is a tree of India un East Indies yielding a hard fragrant timber prized for cabinetwork un dark red heartwood used as a dye-wood.

It is used in traditional herbal medicine as an antipyretic, anti-inflammatory, anthelmintic, tonic, hemorrhage, dysentery, aphrodisiac, anti-hyperglycemic and diaphoretic.
